Matthew Rahman is an indie punk singer, songwriter, and guitar player. Originally from a small town in California, his subsequent travel around the world led to an appreciation of diverse musical traditions.

Matthew’s recent album Survivor employs music as a form of protest, discussing his home country’s role in oppressing minorities in the Global South. His atmospheric live shows play off of this attitude, employing psychedelic and evocative visuals heavily influenced by Middle East and South Asian art. Through his work, Matthew hopes his music can bridge the gap across cultures.
